Recommendations, draft and proposed social statement records c. 2005-2009

This series comprises draft and proposed versions of the ELCA's social statement on human sexuality and its implementing resolutions, as well as drafts of the 2005 report and recommendations pertaining to the rostering of clergy in committed same-sex relationships and the blessing of same-sex unions. It also includes the draft and proposed versions of the ministry policy recommendations that accompanied the proposed social statement on human sexuality released to the public in February 2009. The last folder in the series contains the social statement on human sexuality and the ministry policy recommendations as adopted by the 2009 ELCA Churchwide Assembly.
